Proverbs 17:3-5

³ The ^(A)refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold,
But ^(B)the Lord tests hearts.
⁴ An ^(C)evildoer listens to wicked lips;
A ^[a]liar pays attention to a destructive tongue.
⁵ He who mocks the ^(D)poor taunts his Maker;
He who ^(E)rejoices at calamity will not go unpunished.
